Yes. Freelancers don't rely on the marketplace to find clients so you will find that freelancers are happy with fiverr. They dislike traditional marketing because they spend their valuable time making products for other people, not setting up marketing campaigns for themselves which is tiring and doesn't result in much exposure. -Publicizing ones self enough to be visible but not spending valuable time on marketing. -People who want short lived jobs that can be completed within an hour or two. -Fast paced projects that need quick completion. fiverr makes this painless without having to do any marketing at all.

When it comes to Fiverr, you have less incentive to protect your profile because there are so many new freelancers joining every day. By the time you get your work done and your buyer bids on it, the odds of any reputation is close to nothing. To make matters worse, when you give someone a 5 dollar job, they're incentivised to race in and do the work as quickly as they can in order for them to complete and send in tasks and receive their credit for that task.

Fiverr is a freelancing platform and it can be an excellent place to find cost-effective help for projects. The truth is that all online "shopping around" can be risky, but you should feel especially cautious when dealing with offshore providers who are not bound by the DMCA (the Digital Millennium Copyright Act). Paying anyone under $50 means there's virtually no protection for intellectual property rights. At Fiverr, we aim to make high quality products and services available at low prices - and part of what we do is protect our sellers from copyright infringement.

Absolutely. This is not one of those sites you need to worry about, but still employ best practices on. It's possible that it could be hacked, but this is pretty unlikely because the site has plenty of safeguards in place. The site cannot admit bots or spam, and maintainers are on guard against phishing scams that try to capture user info on the website through fake job postings. That being said best practice really means not taking any chances whatsoever with personal information--even if they are encrypted--so avoid using your social security number as an ID or anything like your bank account details for payments, always keep passwords secret and change them frequently. Best chance you have at feeling 101% safe on this new fiverr gig?

It can be a dependable outlet for freelancers, but it does have risks. As the site states, "Fiverr is not responsible for the quality of services offered by sellers.". In some cases, fiverr users report being scammed on Fiverr as some people do not live up to what they advertise as their skillset. In some other cases, some people even falsely claim to design quotes or logo's using Photoshop and Illustrator. Safety is important when using Fiverr and it is more safe if you know your provider before going through with a transaction with them.

Yes, freelancers can use fiverr safely if they understand the risks and limits. Freelancing (or working on such platforms such as fiverr) is a risky business. There are many reasons for this; lack of professionalism, inexperience, or general mistrust of authority rank among some of them. However, freelancers should educate themselves and do their research before signing up to work with any site whether it be fiverr, mturk (for those looking for data input related jobs), or anything else. This includes talking to others who have started new projects on sites like these and ask about what they thought before jumping in head first.
