Home based work is an occupation where the working hours are completely flexible, allowing for successful workers to make time for other aspects of their life. Working from home means no commuting costs, no dress code, and the opportunity to "leave" at any point in time even if it is just for a little bit. These employees typically work with clients or customers remotely; sometimes they meet in person periodically but not every day. Another perk is that one can devote all of their focus on their work while minimizing distractions like loud coworkers or unpredictable telecommuting supervisors. Many people value the opportunity to carve out personal time without disrupting their career progressions which may affect them later on down the road.

Home workers are registered as self-employed. They have been operating from home for at least 2 years and work from that location for more than 4 days a week. Home based work means that an individual is qualified to operate as a self-employer, meaning they have been commuting to their workplace for two years or more, and commutes four days a week. As alluded to by the name "self employed," this type of work falls under personal responsibility whereas employees can still be laid off if business conditions deem it necessary. However, the disadvantage here is that there is no sick leave nor maternity leave so one should plan accordingly before embarking on this career choice.

Home based work or home-based employment is any position or profession that can be done from the comfort of your own home. These positions span all spectrums of professions--from banking to programming, and everything in between! Home-based work is the act of working remotely, inside your own home rather than an office building. It can be done by either telecommuting to work or by utilizing voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) technology to make phone calls through Skype or Google Voice. A study on Walmart's use of at-home workers found that more than half reported saving on their commute time and associated expenses, spending less time away from their families, and avoiding distractions at work were among some personal benefits they experienced as a result of their jobs. Home based work has many benefits for both companies and employees alike!

Home based work is a freelance or self-employment that is done from a home office. Home based work has become very popular among people who want to live an independent lifestyle, yet still have the luxury of being able to delegate tasks and responsibilities. This kind of working arrangement accommodates the need for more flexible hours while giving employers access to qualified professionals at all hours of day or night. Some drawbacks include security risks, lack of opportunity for collaboration with co-workers, lack in professional development opportunities, and other factors related specifically to globalization demand.
