Samsung's virtual assistant is called Bixby. Bixby is a UK-based company that develops artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The company was founded by Dr. Chris winter, who is also the co-founder ofDeepMind, an AI firm that was acquired by Google in 2014. Bixby was first unveiled in early 2017 and released on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones in March 2017. The assistant can currently be used to perform tasks such asOCR text recognition, image recognition, face recognition, and voice recognition. In the future, Samsung plans to expand Bixby's capabilities to include functions such as weather tracking, translations, reminder setting, and automating repetitive smartphone tasks.

As of now, Samsung's virtual assistant is named Bixby. Bixby is still in development and not yet available to the public. However, Samsung has released a preview of what Bixby can do. So far, Bixby seems to be able to perform basic tasks such as sending messages, setting alarms, and making calls. Bixby is still in development, so it remains to be seen how robust and helpful it will ultimately be. However, it seems like Samsung is taking strides to improve their virtual assistant offering and make it more competitive with other companies such as Google and Apple.
