Yes, Samsung does have a virtual assistant. It's called Bixby and it was introduced with the Galaxy S8 in March of 2017. Just hold down the dedicated Bixby button on your phone ( located on the left side below the volume buttons) to activate it. You can also wake up Bixby by saying "Hi, Bixby" if you have that option enabled in the Settings menu. Once activated, you can ask Bixby anything you would normally ask a digital assistant like Google Assistant or Siri. Common commands include asking for the weather forecast, setting a timer, sending a text message, and searching for nearby restaurants.

Bixby will initially be available on the Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones, but Samsung plans to eventually roll it out to all of its devices. Although Bixby won't be as fully featured as some of the other virtual assistants on the market, it will provide basic functionality like voice recognition and questions answering.
