My experience with Freelancer.com has been good however I would recommend doing your research before making any large investments. Freelancer web site is about freelancers, jobs and the companies that hire them, offering web-resumes for freelancers to present themselves; discussion forum; project management tool for jobs (with automation of job offers); integration to satisfy business needs like CRM or HR department; white label deals with other company's products or services, etc. The pros are that they have a very strong user base which allows them to provide quality work at affordable costs.

Freelancer's testimonials speak volumes about the site, and their own effectiveness as recruiters, managers, and project facilitators. Their job listing section of the site is especially useful to those with limited resources or connections in specific niches who struggle to find work. The only possible negative is that they are one of many centralized platforms which can lead to flagged posts or poorer outreach options with external sites like Twitter or Facebook promotions are scattershot at best if you need quick follow-up on your project progress.

Freelancer.com is an interesting and useful way to find short-term work and offers a wide variety of opportunities for those willing to complete tasks ranging from marketing tasks to web design. This is a great option for the self-employed or those looking on the opposite end of the spectrum, such as college graduates looking for their first jobs out of school who don't want to go through an often strenuous process finding freelance work. The site also offers competitive pricing; however there are some drawbacks that need more consideration before joining including not knowing who your employer is prior meeting them in person and you cannot be completely certain they'll actually pay you after delivering the service (although this isn't true with all freelancers).
