You, entrepreneur - you! You are the future of freelancing. Anyone who wishes to be in charge of their world can learn your trade and make a living outside the daily grind. Years ago, when you said "freelancer," people would think about Bob wandering from street corner to street corner offering his service for free just so that he could gather enough items to sell on Etsy or flip on eBay. That meaning still holds true for some freelancers with not an ounce of commitment in their veins, but it does not really tell you what's possible nowadays.

Freelancing is a choice many people go with today. You can do anything from being a waiter, to writing reports for business companies. You can even take care of your mom's kids as part of the work you put into freelancing! I'm sure there are plenty of professions that now offer freelancing as an option and those numbers will only grow in the future. With all those available opportunities you're sure to find one that fits and pays off for you and your family (the freelance way). How has your experience been as a freelance worker? Have any questions about what it entails? Let us know by posting them below this answer. I look forward to hearing from you!

You can work as a freelancer in any profession. Freelancing is no longer a thing reserved for those who can't find decent jobs. In this day and age, many people choose to freelance due to the variety of advantages it presents, such as increased flexibility and better pay-rates than most traditional employment environments offer. As personal preference and time capacities vary greatly from person to person, there's no real universal skill that all freelancers need- you just have to look for what you're best at! For some people writing or designing might be their strong suit; others may enjoy customer service or photography more.

Anything! Anything. Freelancers can work on their own or on projects with others. It's up to you, just charge what you're worth and do the best job possible. Software Developer? That's great! Web Designer? Cool, me too! Social Media Coordinator? No problem. Freelancing is all about finding work that you enjoy doing while still earning income in some way, so it truly is limitless when it comes to what freelancers can do. Some may strive for full-time positions at a company while others might stick with freelancing content writing or graphic design positions mostly - it doesn't matter what control your passion has over your livelihood.
