To be successful, you need to deliver on your work and also be more accommodating than the average professional. Upwork provides a good platform for freelancers to connect with employers. Because of this, it is important that you send any employer feedback as soon as possible about the project or assignments they give you. This way, both parties can benefit from each other's expertise. It is advisable to only accept 3-4 projects at a time so that when one finishes, there will still be room in your schedule for another task. As always when dealing with clients, honesty is paramount!

I've seen some people mention that it's important to customize your application, like including some specifics about how you can help with the job. My thought on this is that even if it doesn't get picked, you never know who might notice and reach out to you or forward your information for future posting. Some people recommend separating experience into different groups for different jobs (for example "3 years of apprenticeship at Pro Tool Corner's automobile shop'') since entry level wages are typically listed separately from more experienced candidates. Another tip is to apply only when the skills required match what you have in your tool chest otherwise there may be a better fit elsewhere!

The best way to get more gigs on upwork is to become an expert in skills that are in high demand. You'll want to do your research and figure out the top five skills employers need and then make sure you offer those skills on your profile. Choose a niche: If you're not getting many clients, it might be because the types of jobs available aren't a good match for your skills or work preferences. To increase job offers, choose one or two niches-and add these broad categories to any resume section where they apply (i.e., expertise, qualifications). Speak up: Make yourself stand out by responding quickly when jobs post on upwork without following-up questions from recruiters.
